how do you get there again?  Huh

first you have to skate around the city for a year or two, then you have to go into a state of living your nights out in cheap bars with crappy music, then you have to make a right onto s.k.a.t.e street, then head straight past all the real spots (don't forget to stop and fill up on some laziness and grab a big gulp of "i hate imperfect spots." then it is right on your left, you can't miss it. there will be a huge sign that says "training (for what?) facility II."

have fun!

haha, thats some funny shit but not everyone has time(nor patience) to go hit real spots, i know i don't.  occassionally i do, but having limited time, i'd rather go to a skatepark and hit a lot of different things, rather than going to a single spot to skate one thing, probably get booted, then have to travel to the next spot only to end up getting booted again.  who cares if its fake?, its still fun to skate.

they repainted the 'bleachers'/stairs, plugged the hole in the fence (you can still lift the fence up from under near the side exit though) and cleaned ALL the trash up. looks like the city does give a shit about the condition of the park. hopefully they'll hook all the lamps up with white lights next.

In case you haven't seen it, a new skatepark opened up in the LES right under the Manhattan Bridge.

It's right down the street from the Chinatown Manny, in the park with the hubba that Jamie Thomas, Pat Smith, and Dan Pensyl killed.

only time will tell but i'll tell you one thing, if we treat the place like shit, the city will treat the place like shit.
think about that next time someone wants to throw their garbage on the floor when theres garbage cans/bags all around.
i really can't stand people who litter at the places i/we skate.....its our spot, so why do assholes insist on making the place look like a fuckin garbage dump?
seriously, it takes 5 extra seconds to throw your arizona can in the trash and not the fuckin ground.

I went there today for the first time (sorry I was out of state for a while.)  This park is pretty damn sick.  I skated that pyramid for quite some time.

What was too typical, was that all the kids there were skating the ledges.  I mean, I know the park doesn't have much, but why go to a skatepark to skate things you can skate anywhere?

There's not a ton of pyramids around the city.

If they had a miniramp there (5 feet or bigger), that place would be heaven.

Has anyone successfully ollied the gigantic double set there yet?
