Is this thing seriously 7 hours long? I'm supposed to shoot it for NYSB, I'm not sure if I can take such a duration in hundred degree weather though.

The contest itself, no, the whole event, yes.

I remember two years ago it was so hot that the asphalt got soft, and I actually left a footprint where I was filming.
